MY PLEDGE TO YOU – COVID-19 INFORMATION

I have carried out a full risk assessment and adhere to COVID-19 guidelines produced by the government and my professional associations – the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists (IFPA).

I will maintain social distancing before and after each massage treatment.

I will carry out my usual client consultations remotely before your massage appointment – either by phone call, Whatsapp video call or Facetime.

PLEASE NOTE: I WILL BE CHARGING AN EXTRA £2.00 FOR EACH MASSAGE TREATMENT TO COVER PPE / COVID-19 MEASURES.

AT THE PRESENT TIME I AM NOT ALLOWED TO DO ANY FACE MASSAGES OR FACIALS.

AS YOUR THERAPIST, WHEN I ARRIVE TO CARRY OUT YOUR MASSAGE TREATMENT, I WILL ALWAYS:- AS A CLIENT, I WILL ASK YOU PRIOR TO YOUR MASSAGE TREATMENT, TO:-
Check I am in good health.  If I am not, I will contact you to re-arrange your massage treatment. Answer some questions specifically about COVID-19.  I can either send you out a questionnaire via email which you MUST return to me prior to your massage appointment or, if you prefer, I can go through the questionnaire with you via a phone call, the day before your massage appointment.
Wash my hands on arrival at your premises.

Follow government guidelines on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).  I will be wearing a face visor (which I will disinfect appropriately after each use).  A face mask is an optional additional choice for me.

Contact me and re-schedule your massage treatment if you have any symptoms of COIVID-19, or if any person in your household is self-isolating.

Wash your hands or use hand sanitiser before you have your massage treatment.

Wash my hands before setting up my massage equipment. Follow guidelines on the use of PPE.  The latest government guidelines state that it is not mandatory for clients to wear a face mask.  This is your optional choice – if you choose to do so, you can either provide your own face mask, or I can supply you with one at an additional charge of £1.00.
Wipe down all non-porous materials – the massage couch, vinyl couch cover, face cradle, and massage pillow and bolsters – using appropriate disinfectant solution and kitchen roll. Provide their own towels for their massage treatments.  This reduces the risk of any contamination.
Use disposable couch covers, face cradle and pillow covers and fresh couch roll for each massage treatment. Pay for their massage treatment by bank transfer if possible.
Wear a disposable apron for each massage treatment.
Use disposable massage oil measuring cups.
At the end of each massage treatment, I will wash my hands and then don a pair of disposable gloves and remove all disposable couch coverings. I will then disinfect my massage couch, vinyl cover and all vinyl cradles, pillows and bolsters (in the same manner as setting up).  All my equipment will then be packed up.
Wipe all carrier oil bottles, containers and essential oil cases with an appropriate disinfectant solution and kitchen roll.
All my waste products such as disposable gloves, disposable couch, cradle, pillow and bolster coverings, couch roll, used kitchen roll, disposable apron, measuring cups etc, will be disposed of in an appropriate black waste bag, which will be tied up and removed from the clients’ premises and disposed of.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.
